Specialist Periodontist – Implant Surgeon

Dr Emiliano Zanaboni graduated in 1997 from the University of Turin (Italy). He then undertook a 2-year full-time programme in implant dentistry at New York University (USA) ending in 2001. In 2008 Emiliano completed the M ClinDent in periodontology at the Royal London Hospital, passing with distinction. He is a GDC registered specialist in periodontics
During his time in New York, Emiliano worked with world renowned experts in the field of implant dentistry. It was here that he grew his passion for managing complex implant cases, which included advanced bone augmentation, sinus augmentation procedures, soft/hard tissue management of compromised teeth and soft tissue surgery in preparation for implant placement. Since 2001, Emiliano has limited his practice to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.

Emiliano works in several prestigious London clinics and has taught for many years on the MClin Dent postgraduate periodontology programme at both the Eastman Dental Institute and Guy’s Hospital. He also held the position of Consultant in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Hospital from 2019 to 2021.Emilano is a member of several implant and periodontal academies and is a mentor for the Implant Dental Association. He currently holds the position of Senior Clinical Teacher at University College of London.

Dr Zanaboni undertakes both surgical and non-surgical aspects of specialist periodontal (gum) treatment. He has a particular interest in the management and reconstruction of soft tissue deficits, eg tissue recession. He has wide experience in both the surgical and restorative components of implant dentistry, including implant placement with various bone augmentation procedures and the restoration of implants ranging from a single tooth to full mouth reconstruction techniques. He is internationally appreciated for his detailed attention to details in the management of complex cases and soft tissue/bone deficiencies.
Emiliano is a vastly experienced and knowledgeable clinician in these disciplines with over 25 years experience. His surgical techniques are characterised by precision and attention to detail.
