Liliane Dolavale Lund-Jensen BDS MSc
Liliane graduated in Dental Surgery (BDS) from Valenca School of
Dentistry, Rio de Janeiro, in 2001.
Early in her dental studies Liliane became interested in
prosthodontics and in 2002 was accepted on the specialist training
programme in that area at the Fluminense Federal University. In
addition, she also taught a dental materials course on ceramics at
the same university for two years.
In order to get a rigorous understanding of the chemical
properties of dental materials Liliane began a two year MSc in
Material Science and Engineering at the Federal University of Rio
de Janeiro in 2004. She specialized in tribology, the scientific
study of the interaction between surfaces, and wrote her master
thesis on attrition and wear of dental ceramics and composites.
Liliane is still learning and developing, especially in
aesthetic dentistry, and has completed several courses in this area
continuing her professional development.
