Dr Tim Haywood qualified at Guy's Hospital in 1970. After a House Surgeon's position at the Middlesex Hospital he went to Canada initially working as a “flying dentist” in Newfoundland and Labrador. Subsequently he returned to Dental School at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he obtained his D.D.S. degree.
After several years in private practice in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Tim returned to Britain and joined 33 Beaumont Street in 1978, working alongside the founder of the practice, Dr Malcolm Graham. Tim became principal of the practice in 1986. He is proud to still treat some of Dr Graham's original patients as well as their children and grandchildren.
Dr Haywood practices general dentistry for all age groups including children. One of his particular interests is preserving and strengthening heavily filled teeth which would otherwise break. This is often a problem for people in their middle years. The treatment required to save a very heavily filled tooth may include different kinds of crowns and sometimes root fillings. Bridges of various designs may also be necessary to restore missing teeth.
Tim is a member and former President of The American Dental Society of London.

Rita is a member of British Dental Practice Managers Assocation.
